Things happen because they are supposed to

Like the Phoenix, rise anyway

It’s taken me a while to get my head around this. Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason for something to happen but there is a grand plan. I fully believe that the Universe is constantly creating synchronicities to bring us what we need in life.

Generally whatever we focus on we start to see. Whether it’s because of a mindset or view point sort of shift, or just because a series of events are leading us into a new situation.

It’s no secret that I’ve gone through my own struggles in life, haven’t we all? But it’s the lessons we can take from these struggles is what can make us better people. Better daughters, sons, siblings, partners, parents, grandparents. We all have so many stories to share, so much advice we can give. So much we don’t even realise we can help by sharing it all.

Some struggles aren’t all that massive, they are simple day-to-day problems that do our heads in. Take for instance my website. I’ve been designing and redesigning my own website for the last 13 years. Originally from scratch (of course), but now with the help of WordPress and templates. Why complicate things that can be made easier and allow your focus to be used elsewhere?

I’ve wanted to change direction in my business for while, (a good few years) but got stuck. Low and behold a change in hosting company has completely wiped my website, allowing me to have a blank canvas to start again. Not what I’d have expected, but I’m seeing the positives in it. Everything happens for a reason.

So I present to you my shiny new website, which to me looks like growth! Focusing on all the things I’ve always loved but never spent enough time on or felt comfortable enough to share with the rest of the world.

Illustration, creating products, lettering and writing. I’ll write more about my life experiences, travel, days out, food, design, maybe the occasional fitness post …it’s time to have some fun on this new journey.
